SFPD officials said they detained a man and that people should expect airport delays.
The incident was also impacting transit. AirTrain and BART services were also suspended, airport officials said. All trains on the Millbrae line were bypassing the SFO station, officials said.
Normal operations had resumed by early Saturday, with check-in counters reopened and BART service returning in the morning, SFO announced in a tweet.
