The organization notes that Mexico is among the only countries keeping an anonymized tally of health care worker fatalities, which also contains information about the workers’ ages, gender and job role. That transparency, while commendable, “may also go some way to explaining the disturbing figures from Mexico relative to other countries,” the report states.
