• The First Born program provides services to families in San Miguel and Mora counties. It is a free and confidential home visiting program. To learn more about the program, or to schedule a visit, call 454-1343.

• The “Sí Se Puede” group of Narcotics Anonymous meets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights at 310 Mills Ave. Everyone is welcome. For information, call the NA helpline: 800-925-4186 or Frances at 575-815-8544.

• Habitat for Humanity-Las Vegas seeks qualified families for possible home ownership. HFH-LV is dedicated to making decent shelter for everyone. We work with families with serious needs: unable to meet high rents, in unsafe or inadequate conditions. To qualify families must have lived in Las Vegas area last 12 months, be US citizen or certified permanent resident, have serious housing need, have proven income within HUD County guidelines, have credit score of 620 or higher. • The Fourth Judicial District Court Appointed Special Advocates needs volunteers. The local CASA program is taking applications for volunteers. Call 454-0223 or visit the office.

• The Comedor Soup Kitchen will offer a second evening meal at the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Hall on the Plaza. Join us Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 4 p.m. for a hot meal and good company. Fresh produce and bread often available, as well as food pantry bags.

• The Adoptive and Foster Spiritual Group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. every second and fourth Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows religious education building.
