Still, Biden said he’s “encouraged” there’s room for compromise on a “solid and significant” bipartisan bill that would not put the burden on the working class to pay for it. In an interview with MSNBC after the meeting, Biden seemed to signal a possible new legislative strategy: offer a trimmed down bill focused on traditional infrastructure to appeal to Republicans followed by a more robust proposal.
