A winter storm is on its way, but the snow will likely come a day late for those still dreaming of a white Christmas.
There’s potential for a winter storm to affect travel across sections of the plains Wednesday and Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. The storm could bring heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow.
However, the Weather Service said it’s still unclear what the exact timing, strength, location and snow amounts are for the storm.
