Dubai – In the same city that has the world’s tallest skyscraper, largest shopping mall and that doesn’t grow tired of unveiling ambitious projects, the Dubai Miracle Garden (Miracle Garden) may seem like a regular place. It isn’t, considering that Dubai has a desert climate. In an area of 72,000 square meters, the park has millions of flowers that vary according to each season. And the Dubai Butterfly Garden (Butterfly Garden) is the home of approximately 15,000 butterflies.
To maintain flowers in a park in Dubai, being such a dry place, is a challenge. That’s the reason the Miracle Garden impress the visitors even before they get there. The trail that leads to the park is surrounded by trees. Something in there already anticipates a different landscape. In the Miracle Garden, couples in love won’t have anything to complain about, since gigantic hearts built with flowers are spread out through the park. Purple, white and red roses. All of them are used to adorn the hearts.
In some of its wings, the park focuses on ludic themes. Between the promenades, cars “dressed up” with flower beds, “disguised” as waterfalls and very colorful leave no doubt: the hippie culture left its mark there. Want to feel in a fantasy world? In the weekends, it’s even possible to snap a pic with a princess!
Famous locations from throughout the world are present in the Miracle Garden: the Eiffel Tower, the symbol of Paris, is a flower bed with red roses. The Dutch mills and the world’s tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, were built in miniatures with a unique material: oranges and Sicilian lemon. In addition to these, there are little houses built only with flowers and even a fruit castle.
Nature continues to assert its presence in Dubai in the Butterfly Garden, located in a contiguous space and that requires a different admission than the one from the Miracle Garden. In it, a roofed area provides shelter to thousands of butterflies.
Before meeting them, the visitors enter a room with several panels with preserved butterflies. Some panels form the image of a sunflower. The most interesting are those in which pictures of rulers of Dubai and United Arab Emirates are decorated with butterflies.
Once inside the butterflies’ “house”, get ready: they will interact with you. Thus, stretch your hands to them, give them your arm so they can rest and show up. There is no escape: those who don’t extend them the courtesy of stretching their arms will accommodate them anyway, in their back or head. The Butterfly Garden and Miracle Garden are the joy of children and adults. After all, in these two parks one can only be amazed at nature in the middle of the Middle East desert.
