Todd Palin has filed for divorce against former Alaskan governor and onetime vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, according to a report.
In documents filed Friday in Anchorage Superior Court, the 55-year-old said the duo were suffering from an “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife,” reports the Anchorage Daily News.
The court documents only identify the parties by initials but list their wedding day as well as the birthday of their minor child, Trig Palin, says the ADN.
The filing says the parties intend to seek joint custody of 11-year-old Trig.
The self-proclaimed “hockey mom” was elected governor of the 49th state in 2006 and shot to national prominence in 2008 when she joined Republican presidential nominee John McCain as his vice presidential candidate.
She resigned the governorship in 2009.
A lawyer for Todd Palin did not immediately return a request for comment.
