Tottenham secure deal for Portuguese international Adrien Silva – 101 Great Goals

Respected Portuguese outlet Jornal Noticias have this evening revealed that Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have a deal in place with Sporting CP for midfield star Adrien Silva.

Midfield dynamo

Silva, who has spent his entire club career to date with current club Sporting (other than brief loans), has established himself as a key contributor for both club and country over recent years, resulting in the 20-time capped international being handed the captain’s armband at the Estádio José Alvalade.

The 28-year-old is a versatile enforcer who has spent periods in both attacking and defensive midfield positions over the course of his career, proving himself as a genuine leader on the pitch with his all-action displays.

White Hart Lane bound

As per the aforementioned report from Jornal Noticias, Spurs have a deal in place with Silva’s club Sporting for £26 million, with personal terms now all that are left to be sorted ahead of Maurico Pochettino’s side’s first major signing of the summer.
